Decent food and a good meeting spot. The dude behind the bar is not helpful and always rude

They will only take food orders from the patio through a waitress I tried three times and left after waiting for over 20 minutes. Don't go there when you're hungry and make sure to sit where you see a waitress who's willing to take your order. Worst service and attitude I've experienced in over 25 years.

OK, so I gave this place another go. Not as busy this weekend. Got our drinks and the jalapeños. I think when they are really busy, you are just going to get what you get. Server was running around, trying to take care of everyone. The poppers are sliced, you get about 6, each slice wrapped in bacon, while thing covered in cheese, with a topping of sour cream. The bikes are the attraction.

Was told by many people that I had to try this place while riding on Ortega Highway, so I did. Possibly some of the worst advice I've ever been given. The service was so bad, I thought I was being pranked. Then the food came... I think it would have been better to chew the tires off of my Dyna. Never, ever, EVER again.

Went here with some friends and met some awsome people and this place has a great view and a cool vibe for sure !!!!!! The girls who went with us loved the ride and environment and of course the drinks that kept flowing we will for sure take this ride again and cruise the coast Hells kitchen was a great place

First of all...let me clarify for anyone that might be confused.... THIS IS A BIKER BAR THAT SERVES FOOD If you want to take your family out to eat, go to Applebee's! If you are expecting cheery bubbly waitresses go to Chili's! If you want fresh, greasy, tasty grilled food and cold STRONG drinks...then this is your place! The food is good and the drinks are even better! They have the best Bloody Mary's around! The breakfast food is good and the portions are large. For lunch the burgers and the Philly cheese steaks are huge and really fresh! If motorcycles or people that ride them bother you, then just keep driving because that is what you will get there!

I couldn't get past the racist sign. I've seen others post pictures of the billboard and they constantly posting racist stuff on their billboard. Anyone that frequents this place should be ashamed of themselves.

cool place, but the service is below zero. The worst service you can get in the area. They are short handed. The server Melissa runs around to serve the customers, but I think she needs help. when they take your order, it takes min. 1 hours to receive your food. They should have some respect for people's time again, they are way short handed very disappointed

LOTS OF BIKES. Definitely more than biker friendly. The food isnt bad and its a nice little stop on the side of the road if you want to bring some friends who havent been there. Its an experience. Sometimes you get a detailer or a patch person selling stuff. The service is generally slow and it might be tough to find a seat at times but its not a bad place. Its a fun little stop if you are riding Ortega

There are two main things that you need to do when you arrive at Hells Kitchen: 1) Get off your bike and chill out under the huge trees. Regardless of the time of year, this has always been a very cool spot to chill regardless of which direction you are coming from. 2) Go inside to the condiment coffin. Read the instructions and pull the little skull handle and open it up. It is the coolest condiment layout that I have ever seen and it is massive! The people here are chill and they have a good mix of people stopping by to check this place out. The inside of Hells Kitchen is small but they have a decent sized patio out front and a big patio out back. There is plenty of room to stand around and socialize under the big pine trees. There are porta potties in the parking lot if you are looking to just drive in and relieve yourself after doing the Ortega Highway twisties. If you have the time make sure you stop in and check out lookout point as well before heading down to Lake Elsinore.

If you look up "Overrated" in the dictionary, you'll see Hell's Kitchen. The one star is for the abundance of fried food you get with the sampler and the vast variety of condiments available. Much like the other 4 stars, the service here is non-existent. I was wondering why this place was a morgue on a Saturday afternoon and soon found out why. We approached the counter inside, at which time were instructed that we were only able to order drinks there and that a waitress would be out to take our orders. This was after waiting outside 15-20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. I'm guessing they were swamped with the other 4 or 5 people that were there. The only way I can justify the ride (this one and only time) from San Diego, is to take one for my So Cal brothers & sisters, so we can tell them, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY coming here. I'm guessing this was once a cool place to stop, but these people seem to be okay with coasting on their reputation. They won't be getting any repeat business if this is how they plan to run this place.

My daughter and I stopped by on way home from a school fieldtrip to San Juan Capistrano. We saw on our way out and looked interesting. I thought might be a biker bar as that's all that was parked outside. However I was wrong. And boy was I glad we stopped. The food was amazing!! My daughter said best burger ever! they had a coffin with all the condiments that opens up and my daughter loved that! Anyways we will be taking the drive up the Ortega Hwy indeed t come again with rest of family!

LONG motorcycle ride... I was pretty glad this place exists... and that is why it deserves a 4 STAR! cold beer and (i can't remember what we snacked on.. which makes the food not so memorable) But I am pretty grateful this place exist (once again) haha!

We went with a group of friends. We were camping at the Casper's campground and decided to do lunch here. Two people in our group got chicken salads and they were huge! They liked them. Someone in our group got a hot dog I believe. I got the pastrami and it was very large, good, and filling. The staff were friendly and the portions are big. I'd come back while camping or just driving Ortega. It's neat seeing all the different bikers and their bikes too.

Ok ok ok .... I've been here several times, great lil spot when riding through the 74. However the customer service SUCKS! The place is known for a halfway mark through the canyon so drinks are imperative to business here. But to quite the contrary the drinks /beer are always HOT.. WTH HELLS KITCHEN!!! Seriously the next owner please teach your staff customer service and PLEASE invest in coolers that keep your drinks & kegs cold...;) With those 2 improvements this place would be a hit !!!

A biker bar is my own personal hell, but we had no other choice in the middle of the mountains, so we gave them a chance. Growing up with a biker for a mother, I was around this kind a lot. Some are good people, some are not - like any other crowd. Nothing widely unique about bikers. They tend to be a little too 'KKK' for my liking, but I think I give everyone I meet and every restaurant I go to the benefit of the doubt. That said, negatives first....terrible service, the server didn't come to our table for 15 minutes after we sat down, and the food took more than an hour to come out. I had a cheeseburger and it was like they slapped a piece of cheese on mushed up cardboard. Their 'in-your-face' conservative political stance is vomit worthy. The atmosphere, the building, and decor is stuffy, old, and rotting. I swore I was going to fall through the floor on the patio every time someone walked by. Everything in the place was covered in some kind of sticky grime. Positives? All of the old men wearing black clothes and leather outside in the sun on a particularly hot day made me chuckle...I was in a tank and shorts and all 95 lbs of me was sweating like a pig. I hate myself for going here and I wish I could take it back.

I Happened to Be Prospecting and bought a House Near By but Find Myself Comparing this Place to COoks in which I happen to also have a house near by and can get there in 1/2 the time...I love the ride of the Ortega Drive as I have been to Hell's a few Times but have to say I am usually too busy and skip it as I usually don't have the time to to wait...It's more often than not has been my luck not only at Hell's but at many other Restaurant's that I will get there when the place is empty and see the staff are in no hurry to serve me or to take our order before a Huge Group of Roudy People will rush in and shout out for service as I get forgotten and am the last to be served after them time and time again...I am a very patient person and am usually gracious to tip so the staff often don't even seem to notice or apology about the wait or the food that has been sitting too long on the heating tray...I try to pray and enjoy the scenery but get tired of sitting, waiting as when I am hungry or thirsty...So I often will choose a Drive through or Quick Serve Applebee's or Chilli's as I know I will be served quickly...Otherwise, if I am on The Ortega Drive & want something Unique, I prefer to go to 'The Look Out' a few miles down the Road toward lake ELsinore, but it is a totally different feel and scene...Let me know if anyone want to invest in opening another Restaurant up there as I have a Theme...

Eat their 2-3 times a month, always on weekdays, never had a bad meal or poor service. Yes food service an take some time if it's crowded, one guy in a small kitchen!!! melissa the server is always congenial even when large groups show. To the previous poster who had nothing but bad things to say, I would suggest going somewhere else

Don't ruin your nice motorcycle ride by stopping here and subjecting yourself to terrible service and tasteless food. Fortunately, we weren't in a hurry, otherwise we would have had to leave before our food arrived. We sat ourselves inside near the walk-up bar in full view of the two waitresses at 10:55 am. We were ignored and tried desperately to make eye contact with anybody. The gal whom we assumed was our waitress was hunched over the cash register trying to figure out someone's bill. She struggled for at least 10 minutes without even looking up. The waitress serving the tables outside walked buy us with 2 cups of coffee and I managed to get her to bring us the same. She apologized that they were so busy - they weren't that busy. At 11:10 am our waitress arrived and we tried to order breakfast. Oh, no! They stop serving breakfast at 11:00 am. Damn, I think every restaurant that serves breakfast should offer it all day. Ok, so we order burgers, and all along at 11:30, 11:35, 11:40, we see the waitresses ferrying out platters of breakfast orders. WTF. It is 20+ minutes since we ordered! Couldn't they slide in our breakfast order? At this point watching their staff's ineptness was comical, and we amused ourselves with hypothetical comments we would like to include in our Yelp review. We started reading the other reviews here and had to agree with all the other comments. That will teach us to read reviews before we go to a place. Most comments were about the service; however, when the food arrived 50 minutes later it was an equal disappointment. Burgers where large, but the patties were dry. The cook obviously smashed them down with a spatula while on the grill; it was completely unseasoned and void of flavor. Worse of all, the cheese was imitation shredded low-quality cheddar/jack blend that was only half melted - GROSS (hey, Hell's Kitchen owner would it bankrupt you to put a $.25 slice of American cheese on the burger?) The fries were unimaginative and soggy. Bottom line for this joint...stop here for a beer, but go down the road towards Elsinore and eat at The Lookout.

I have been here many times and get a variation of the same thing, the chili. For breakfast I get the Chili Cheese Omelet and later in the day I get the Chili Cheese Burger or the Chili Cheese Dog. I've never actually had the Chili by itself but I have had the Chili Cheese Fries. The chili is hot to those who aren't used to spicy food. It's hot enough for me, but I know guys who kick it up even higher and there is plenty to choose from at their famous condiment bar casket. This place gets an OVERALL 4 stars for food, location and atmosphere but don't expect fine dining, this is a back country mountain grill without the frill unless the frill is on your leather jacket. :D

  • C 6.

Atmosphere = 9 Service = 2 Food = 6 (burgers are greasy & beer is cold) I like it because a burger & a beer after a ride through the hills always hits the spot. It's nice to be able to stop in the middle of nowhere instead of heading down the hill to civilization at applebees.

  • Troy L.

Honestly the food here is very good but the service needs a facelift. Like I said the food is amazing especially the pork shanks and the pulled pork sandwich. However it took me and my family over and hour to get our food and all the employees have a serious attitude. The restaurant needs more employees and crowd control. Also the place is so open that we could've just walked out without paying because of the lack of security and employees. When Hells Kitchen isn't crowded the food comes out a lot faster but with over 300 hungry people in a tiny restaurant with little staff it can get very slow. If i could give a more accurate rating I would rate the food 5/5 and the service 1/5.

Don't stop here unless you have 2 hours to kill and you want an expensive stomach ache. Oh and it helps if you are a tea party biker otherwise good luck

  • King Of All Whites, Z.

This is why it's for sale. Brain dead, slow waitstaff, and prick bartender. I visited this past weekend with 2 others riding buddies and we all got the same attitude from the old hipster bartender. Girl serving food said come in to order your drinks and I'll come out to the table to take your order?? Wouldn't it be easier on me, the customer to place the order inside?? Your right, the wait of 30 minutes before you stopped by our table only heightend the anticipation. This place blows! Head on down the road to the lookout or to Cooks Corner. Saying it's a biker place and using it as an excuse for crappy service and a miserable experience is BS. Spend your money at a place that respects and appreciates your business. I know I will.

The angry, racist, ignorant, delusional rants this establishment displays on its marquee have no place in modern society.

Stopped here during a morning drive on Ortega hey. The place is definitely over rated but I must say, the food was better than expected. If you don't mind pretty much not being waited on at all, some pretty racy political comments throughout the place, and occasionally getting your own drink refills, then check this place out. I got there around 10am. It got pretty busy shortly after so go early.

Gee whiz. don't mess with these guys. They mean business!! You can tell by the signs that these bikers mean SERIOUS BUSINESS! There's one sign, framed right by the bar, that says "F*** YOU"!! And the sign by the fixin's bar told me that the glowing skull was "not a d**k or a t*t, so don't pull it or push it" Watch yourself now! I saw a lot of devils and 666s... these men are nihilists, and they ARE something to be afraid of! Their condiments are in a coffin for gosh sakes! I'm not gonna be the one in that coffin so I quietly ate my hotdog in silence, making eye contact with nobody. Maybe all those biker toughs are friendly inside, but I'm not gonna be the one to find out. I've seen enough cowboy westerns to know I'M not gonna be the sorry sucker with a fist up his you-know-where!

This once was the best breakfast place to ride to. Was always good food, good service, and decent drinks. Came here today and it has completely gone to "hell". The service has gone to crap!!! The waitresses are slow, brought out the wrong food, very rude, and cannot handle the few tables they have. The drinks are warm and the beer is foamy, the condiments are all warm and not kept at the proper temp. Such a disappointment for this iconic place! No longer will I spend and money here, Cooks Corner has better service, better food, and colder beers!!! Tyler needs to really turn this place around, maybe this is why he is trying to sell it. The staff obviously does not care

    (1)
  • Jim S.

Worse service and food. Waitresses were idiots, took forever to place our order and when we finally got our food it was not what we ordered. Rather than send it back and wait another hour, we went ahead and ate it. Food was cold and horrible.

took a stroll up here after cars and coffee one morning for breakfast. the other reviews are accurate when they say this is a bar that serves food. just be patient and relax on the patio. the food is decent.

Hell's Kitchen is an excellent stop place to have a beer and something to eat while ridding. I always enjoy the menu and look forward to trying more of their items in the future. This time I had their bacon hamburger and fries. It was a good burger size and texture. My only complain was the service. I don't want to hear from a waitress that this is not my station. You ask what the needs are and you either met them or pass them on with out letting the customer go through any thinking. Having said that it is about training so at the end I would blame management for not paying attention to this. Outside of this the place was clean and even the bathrooms where in great shape. I will come back and enjoy another meal item in the future.

Rudest man ever tending bar. Must hate his job and treats people accordingly. Don't waste your time. Outlook roadhouse is sooo much better. Nice people and good food just down the road. Its our last time there. This was the third time and he just gets worse. Amazing he is still there. He must own the place.

Thanks to Melissa for providing the worst service ever... full of incredible attitude for someone that works for tips. And the food is tasteless and overpriced. Not coming back and making sure to tell fellow riders about this experience.

Great ride up to Hells Kitchen. Biker bar/restaurant with nice view, great food. They make the BEST Bloody Mary's!

  • Angie P.

Went here for breakfast two days in a row. Service was decent, food was very good, and the atmosphere was very laid back and interesting. The biscuits and gravy are wonderful! Lots of personality has gone into the design of the place. As stated by others, this is very unapologetically a biker bar, so if you don't like that kind of scene, go somewhere else.

This is a tough one to call for me. I've actually taken day trips to drive out the Ortega just to have lunch and hang out here. It's places like this where I wish there was 2 different star scales: one for food, the other for experience. If I were to rate this on the coolness, uniqueness, and ambiance factor alone it'd be pretty close to 5 stars. But the quality of food compared to price, and the spotty service/attitude of 'certain' staff make me knock this down a bit. It may or may not be fair to compare this to Cooks Corner (another OC biker staple), but it's hard not too. I think of it as "Cooks Light", as it tends to have a lot of similarities, just on a smaller scale. It's a great place for both bikers and tourists to stop and burn an hour or so when the weather is great, taking advantage of the either the spacious back or front patio areas. Rock music is piped in over outdoor speakers, there are tons of bikes and characters to look at, and the 'condiment coffin' inside is a hoot (kids will love it). I'll hit the pro's and con's in a second, but I want to comment on the staff. I try to place myself in the waitresses shoes...it's no doubt they occasionally have it rough, so I try not to take it personally. Often, when crowded, the place can resemble organized chaos, and thus the staff can get overwhelemed. The last time I was there, it appeared they only had one waitress servicing the entire back patio...no easy feat...but we could tell (it was pretty evident) her overall deamenor and patience was waning, and she was a bit short and curt at times (we could have done without the facial expressions as well), but I understand...she was over-loaded. Another time when I brought my dog (it is dog friendly), who happened to be on a leash and in my lap (a 20 lb mini-schnauzer), another much larger dog that was not on a leash that was inside came outside and my littel guy started barking..loudly. One of the staff actually came outside to berate me and yell at my dog in front of other patrons because my guy was barking. Um, my guy was on a leash and in my lap and weighs 20 lbs....not 60+ lbs and unleashed roaming the grounds....and you're going to yell at me, the guy ordering food and paying money and a tip? I was not only stunned and speechless, but so were other patrons who apologized to me for the staff behavior. Now the Pro's & Con's: Pro's - Awesome shaded back patio, and nice front patio. Made for large groups to relax under teh canopy of the Cleveland forest. - Cold, cold, cold glass mugs for beer, and a decent slection of draft beer. - Killer Bloody Mary's. They have a unique cajun taste to them, not overly Tobasco spicy, but a nice kick, and plenty of fresh veggies with them too (olive, pickle slice, green bean, carrot). One of the best I've ever had. - A lot to look at as far as decorations go, music to listen to, sights to take in. - Meal portions are nice and tons of condiments to build your own burger/hot dog, whatever. - Extensive road house menu. You can find just about anything to please someone. Con's - Slightly higher than average prices. Not overly expensive, but still, $5 hot dogs? $8-9 burritos and hamburgers? Generally expect to pay $1-2 more than average. Perhaps it's the cost of transporting groceries to the location. - Facilities. One restroom, unless you like porta-potties in the parking lot. - Spotty staff. Sometimes I just feel like I'm a chore to them as a customer, and I'm pretty easy going. - Food quality. I suspect that many of the items, especially sides, are of the frozen bulk ilk...including french fries, chicken strips, hamburger patties (seem to uniform to be fresh made). I suspect chili is either canned or bulk pack, not fresh, dressings are all bottled varieties, you get the idea. That being said, if you're just looking for a nice place to get outdoors and like picnic type food, enjoying a pitcher with friends, and gawking at bikes, Hell's Kitchen is a unique and fun experience.

Went on New Years Day With my motorcycle group. one of the first to arrive, around 12:15, waitress told us we are really busy,so it might take awhile. No problem we said. 1:30 came around and not even drinks yet. waitress kept giving us attitude. 1:45 finally took our order. 2;30 still no food. another table with our group that came an hour after us was already eating. waitress still giving us attitude, so we told her to cancel the order, waitress still giving us attitude. Hell's kitchen...... Hell with them. will never go back. Should have gone to Cook's Corner better food and better people there.

Been a long while since I've stopped in, it sad to here things haven't been the same. the condiment coffin is bad ass! That was definitely a first for me burgers and onion rings were very good, don't know about now. I really wana stop by again soon and see for myself how things are goin. The drive to get here is beautiful.

Wow I had no idea the mental effect this place has on people, I just thought it was a nice biker bar.........lol.........every bike in the OC has to have gone through here at one time or another. Food is fine.......not cheap but always good..........and I go to see the other bikes anyway. Been riding 50 years now and always a new machine up there, last time it was a new Ducati Diavel..........good folks to talk to. A handy tip.......on the weekends the CHP are all over the Ortega, don't even look cross-eyed or it could go badly.

Great place to stop for a bite to eat whether you are on a motorcycle or in a car. Any time we take the Ortega Hwy for a motorcycle ride, we always stop here. The people are friendly, the food is good and the prices are OK. They are open for breakfast and lunch and have some great desserts.

  • Yuki M.

Hey! Let's drink alcohol then ride motorcycles! Yeah! Woohoo! Stupid shit. Now that that's out of my system.... I ride and I take Ortega a lot. I always pass Hell's and go to The Lookout just a little ways up. Today, I took a midday ride and figured I'd see what the hype was all about. I mean, this place only opened a few years ago (2004?) and though it's quickly established itself in the riding community, I just never could get myself to drop by. So at 11:30am on a Wednesday, this lone 5ft 6in Asian chick on a sport bike in full leathers rides into the parking lot of Hell's Kitchen. I see 4 older gentlemen sitting in the front, and man did they give me the ugly eye. Clearly they didn't think I "belonged," so I guess they felt it necessary to assert their dominance over me by glaring at me with evil biker eyes. I'm sorry but F you. You're on a Harley or a $30K BMW and I'm on a Honda VFR, but last I checked, we were all in this together. Sorry if I felt that we should look out for each other. Anyway, I smiled at them and said "hello" despite their disapproving glances. I walked in and holy crap did I step into the most touristy, kitschy, trying-too-hard joint ever. I've been to a lot of "biker" stops but none of them looked like this. My god it was as if someone who had no idea how to ride opened a Badass Biker magazine and decided, "Yeah, this is what a biker bar should look like." Trite and Cliche. The back of the menu screams "Hey look at me! I'm a biker and I'm tough so don't F with me 'cause I'm a biker. Yeah. Grrrr." The history of Hell's is printed on the back page and it's riddled with spelling and grammar mistakes. The voice on the paper is oozing machismo and it's kind of sad. You ever meet someone who is just over-the-top-tough-guy because he thinks he has to prove himself to the world for no apparent reason? You know the feeling of contempt mixed with pity when you listen to that guy speak? Yeah well, read the back page of the menu and it'll be dejavu. Moving on. Waitress was "blah" and so was the owner/manager/whoever that was there with her. She tried to be nice but nothing could mask her sheer apathy toward her job. Sad. So, even before getting to the food, I'm already set to leave. But I came here for a reason and that reason was to satisfy a curiosity of both their food and their atmosphere. Atmosphere: Shitty. Food: Pretty good. The menu isn't extensive but it has all the stuff you'd want and a bit extra. I'm not going to list the entire selection but I'll say that The Lookout doesn't offer waffles with strawberries and cream and I wish that they would. I ordered the steak burrito wet. Chopped steak, cheese, rice, black beans. Tortilla was very soft and the sauce had good flavor, though a bit on the salty side. The cheese on top didn't congeal into plastic and the level of spice was perfect. Fair warning, the burrito is HUGE, but I'm glad for that since it's $10. (FYI: If you visit the website, the menu and prices are old and everything is more expensive.) Pork Wings are actually shanks and the meat is amazingly tender and flavorful. They deep fry the suckers so that helps with the moisture but not with the arterial blockage. You can have them with BBQ sauce or something else but I took them home dry. In all honesty, I don't see myself returning, but I do imagine myself at some point wanting to return to try their waffles and maybe a burger. I came. I saw. I ate. I'm done. Next stop, The Lookout. P.S. The little bulletin board out front usually has some stupid ass ignorant bullshit posted. If you're at all educated and civilized, don't bother reading their babble. It's freedom of speech gone wrong, unless of course you're a fan of racist/prejudice/poorly written drivel.

We go here every year for Easter as it is not only our anniversary and where we spent our first Easter together, but also some sort of twisted oxy-moron tradition my boyfriend and I have had for a few years now. The atmosphere is great, we always chill outside unless it is too cold then we go in the huge dining room. The beer...always super cold, always brought out quickly and pretty darn cheap too. The food...I can only speak for the salads but last time here, we shared the grilled chicken ceaser salad...thank god we shared it!! Super massive...like obese. It was really good and fresh, the chicken is marinated and tasted great...not dry at all. The condiments....yes they have their own category!! I am a huge condiment fan but hate the standard staples (ranch, mustard, mayo, ketchup etc) so we ask for the dressing on the side (boyfriend takes it) and I go inside to the coffin and load up on my 3 favs...spicy BBQ, thai chili, and hot sauce...seriously great on salads so I dip in a diff cup each bite :) I think they have like 30 condiments to choose from (maybe more) and HUGE freakin' cups to fill up. Just the drive there is pretty and if you like to people and bike watch this place is great for that. also, there is a little beef jerky shop across the street, jaywalk and grab some for once you get home from your cruz down the hill...just don't get hit crossing the road people!

Very disappointing! Bad service! It took over 45 min to get a simple appetizer... and almost a half hour to get the check after we asked... and it wasn't even busy!

I used to be a motorcycle rider, and have the steel plate in my leg to prove it. For the last many years I have driven Mustang GT Convertibles for my hair-blowing-in-the-wind thrills. Ortega Hwy is where I like to take the rag-top through its paces. And when doing so this is the place to stop for 2/3 of a beer. Yep, when you are breaking all kinds of traffic laws ya gotta maintain sobriety. As opposed to the Cooks Corner crowd most of these motorcycle riders are of the daily riding crew, not the once a month AMEX types. No gangs, just dedicated 2 wheel enthusiasts. Nothing to fear, and a great place to hang on a local mountain top for some great ppl and machine watchin fun.

Overburdened, sloppy and irritable service. Passable food, come as your atmosphere. Only reason it's 2 stars instead of 1 I waited about 50 minutes for a chicken sandwich and fries. Everyone else at my table was long done by the time my food arrived. Waitress presented no apology, remorse or understanding. Then promptly botched the credit card charge. She just blamed the system and rushed off. Which is what I'll be doing, sans the blaming the system part. Pro tip: eat before you get here.

Great authentic biker bar...... If you're driving or riding Ortega, this is a must stop! I live in the OC, closer to Cooks Corner, but I love making the ride out to Hells Kitchen on the weekends. Awesome place to hang out, people watch, and grab a beer or a bite to eat while checking out all the nice 2 wheel machines in the parking area. It does get quite busy, so if you're in a car, be prepared to feel out of place! Bikes have no problem parking though!

After years of partying, people seeing, laughing and having overall a great time it is necessary that i tell others now on YELP who are looking for a great place to have some drinks, listen to great music, maybe play a game of pool or just shoot the shit and people watch. The owner Tyler is great. He has no problem kicking anyone out if they don't respect the environment. He want's everyone to have a great time.Tyler is very kind and a "down to earth" guy. The waitress's are beautiful and fun. This makes the environment even better. Joel is the bartender and he can make some drinks! He also has a great personality and makes the environment that much better. The food is great! Ask if they have any specials? Sometimes they do- last week i saw something crazy and cool. I reccomend the Breakfast Burritos , The French Toast, and The Burger. It's always a fun time at Hells Kitchen----Thanks a lot friends @ Hells Kitchen.

I was told on the phone this was cool for kids but it was not. This is a bar with food and that's it. Also their menu on-line is old so prices went up like 3.00 on most items. Not cool you ask me. Now for the food info. The burgers were cooked right. Fries fresh and hot. Very good if you ask me. Wife had Mexican plate and that was good too. As for the other things this was a great place if you want to drink and get some food. Not a good place for a family to eat. Service was OK nothing to special there.

Went there recently. Had great food for a very reasonable price. Must have been 200 Harleys there. This place is located well into the Ortega mountain range and is a great destination to ride to and talk "MOTORCYCLE".

Wanted something really quick and easy so I went for a hotdog. it was extremely busy but they were all smiles and apologized for the delay. The hotdog was really big and came with fries. Great food, great place to watch people, can't top that place.

The owner doesn't care for our current Commander-in-Chief and usually has some poorly worded posting about it on a sign out front. If you can look beyond that, the place isn't all that bad. There's nothing special about it, but it's a nice stop to grab some chow when you're out riding. I don't get the "I'm a bad-ass" vibe about the joint and generally just roll in, do my thing, and people watch for a bit. It's bar food, not the best I've had, not the worst. Nothing makes me want to shout awesome and nothing makes we want to say the place sucks. Go there if you're riding Ortega and want to take a break. Walk in like you own the place.

Let me break this down for you pretty easy - Hells Kitchen = hells .... Service! Stay the hell away from this place! Yes, it is a cool Biker bar, cool location, with lots of cool Biker customers and lots of nice bikes in front, but man did I get the service treatment from Hell here. I never met an unfriendly and unmotivated waitress like the blond chick before. I understand that you can have a bad day at work, we all have that once in a while, but this was not the first time that I experienced this kind of service. I will buy my beer across the street the next time I ride up on Ortega HWY.

All I can say is wow!!!!!! Worst service ever!!! I was excited to stop by on Sunday afternoon and the male bartender was out of his mind!!!! Super rude! Flipping off camera taking selfies, counting tips and which were very few btw.... When he finally decided to serve us he had major attitude and appeared to be under the influence of something.... A person by the name of mark was very pleasant and tried to save face funny thing is I dont think he even worked there..., anyway our 60$ drink tab was paid immediately by my sister and I kindly asked the blonde girl to make us shots as I was going to buy the next round. Mean angry aggressive male bartender burst out of back room said not to serve us and we got kicked out cuz my sister left a silly message on his check receipt .... Even tho despite service she obviously still tipped and drew a heart but he got super aggressive.... Needless to say.... Worst bartender ever!!!!! I felt so bad for the coworkers. I will never return or speak highly. Alllllll the way bad!!

It's a biker bar. So it looks like one and there are bikers there. A great stop for daddy sodas half way over the Ortega Highway. If you have friends in the biker community, you will usually run into someone you know. Plenty of bike parking right in front. Nice sitting on the patio. Open air, nice scenery. I think their appetizers are really good. Food on the average. A little on the pricey side. Usually too many people for the staff so food usually takes a very long time. Plan for it if you're going to eat there. You want a drink, just walk up to the bar and get it. Fast and easy that way.

Ok. So I have to admit, I am not a "biker chick", and I do not claim to be. I'm actually a proud owner of a Prius (at least bikers and I save on gas.. Go environment!) ... But I totally feel welcomed when I stop in for breakfast or lunch. On my birthday this year, I was on my way to Temecula on the 74 and I was dressed in a long dress and a princess tiara, just because I could and it's one of my "twenty something" birthdays. I insisted on stopping at Hells Kitchen for a pre-celebration drink and tri-tip sandwich. Everyone in the place was dressed in leather and of course they starred at me and the well-dressed party I was with. I happily sat down near the "dressing and toppings coffin" and order a sandwich that I split with my sister. My favorite waitress, Melissa, took our order and she was the first one to ask where we were on our way to (noticing our ensemble). We all ended up having a great time and met some pretty awesome people that day. They even gave me a birthday triple shot of tequila (great way to start a wine tasting trip btw haha). I recommend: *Tri-tip sandwich *Dipping your fries in the ranch, honey mustard, pesto, and teriyaki sauces *Sharing (due to the large portions) *Any of the breakfast food with a cold beer ... MMMmmm ;) *Not going if you are easily offended or if you are, just don't look at the walls, menus, employees, or clientele *Parking in the back lot if you are arrive in any motorized vehicle other than a bike (that prime real estate is for motorcycles only) *Root beer floats *Bloody Marys *Bringing your grandma... Mine always requests to come here when she's in town visiting me! She recommends the chili cheese fries.

Okay the place is steeped in a weird genre, get over it. Like the Hard Rock Cafe is decorated with taste??? I ride a KLR650 basically a bloody bike dirt bike. This place has the lifestyle biker image down pat...or does it? ah the rub....some times ( noon to later in the day ) it is full of slammed , and glommed versions of made in Wisconsins best....and a few hours earlier it is home to sport bikes from all nations.????? All riders are welcome. Even middles aged goofs in full bounce gear ( technical fabric armor riding gear.. I call it bounce gear cause it helps you live if you bounce the bike and bod off stuff you should not). Service is dicey, food is not very healthy but tasty. Personally I have really never been disappointed . If you want healthy bike road food ..the road house by Paloma's mountain is vegan..and pretty good. So. Have the burger, eat the fries, wait for you food, it come hot, which is half the battle. Get your own drinks leave a tip. These folks make their money one and a half days a week maybe thirty weeks a year. Do not think they are getting rich. Oh spend a few bucks at the lookout too, by the cliff over looking Elsinore. ..I like the chili tamale with a fried egg for breakfast. Pretty darn good. Puts most chains to shame.

Great place to hangout and meet like-minded souls! Food is excellent high-calorie roadhouse fare with giant portions, esp. the salads. 4-stars instead of 5 ONLY because the service can be dismally slow when the place is slammed.

My boyfriend and I had driven past this place a couple times and thought it would be a neat/good place to eat. Today 02/21/2013 we decided to eat there for lunch, there was maybe 7 other people there the waitress told us to sit where we want and she will come to us. 15 minutes went by before she came and took our drink order and food order another 15 minutes to get out drinks which was just a water and diet coke. My boyfriend ordered 2 tacos beans and rice and I ordered a Steak burrito, simple order it seemed like considered besides ourselves 2 other people were the only ones eating. We waited 1 hour, the waitress kept coming outside but she NEVER told us it would be a few more minutes. We decided that we would go in and pay for my soda and just leave, and she said well you have to pay for your food to which we eventually got and just took home. It was the WORST food I had ever eaten, we waited that long for something that tasted like crap!!! Everything tasted pre-made, so it made me wonder what the hell took them over hour to make 2 simple dishes! It was a disappointment needless to say. I understand it's a biker bar, but maybe they should hire more experienced friendly waitresses who actually enjoy what they are doing.

A meat truck exploded on the 5 highway going south this week and so I did everything and anything to find an alternative route to San Diego. I stumbled upon Hell's Kitchen and I have to say-- This place is AWESOME! It's in the middle of nowhere and looks like a barn covered with flames. Love the back patio and the pool table. I ordered a burger and was told to go to "the coffin" to get my fix-ins. Sure enough it was an electronic coffin controlled by a skull head that is also a refrigerator. Really cool. The ranch dressing was yum. They have a huge sign when you enter that says it all: Tips and penises have a lot in common. Size really does matter. I have to remember that one.

Seriously, if you area biker and live in SoCal you ought to know this place. It's only the up-the-hill oasis for bikers from around and out of town! Its location is slightly hidden and tucked in, just around the bend on the way up hill from Lake Elsinore. The generous space for parking the rides makes it a non-brainer for bikers gathering. Even then, sometimes the lot gets pretty packed. It has two outdoor seating/dining areas, one at the back of the restaurant on a wooden patio over looking the hills. But my favorite hangout has gotta be the one over looking the parking area, where you can check out people riding in and out. The only thing I don't quite enjoy (but tolerated anyway) is this area is smoker-friendly. That means you can smoke and eat and drink. My tips, if you don't smoke, try to find an area up wind from the smokers. Honestly, I am a bit awry of riders drinking beer, then kick up the stand. I just hope that people who go there are mature enough to watch their alcohol intake or at least wait until they are sober before they ride out. You would think they won't need music anymore here. Not with the noise level, well, considering it's a bikers haven, don't expect anything less than a constant rumbling mufflers and growling exhausts. Be glad that this is not a tourist trap. It's a local hang out. Thus the food is decent. Sometimes even good! I usually ordered the burger (cooked medium-med rare) with a side of sweet potato fries. Downed them with coffee. Can't have a food comma when riding, now, can we? The service is a little slow. You see, it's almost always chaotic in this place. A lot of traffic, people and vehicle. It's good enough that the server can remember who ordered what in the sea of leather clad big guys and bandana-heads. Definitely though, they would remember a small Asian woman who ordered a 1-pounder angus burger :) My advice, go there when you have leisure time. If you are out riding then chances are you're not in a hurry. So enjoy the view, the show, the people watching and be part of the crowd. While everyone dressed up similarly, each has unique characteristics, just like the bikes. Feel free to go around and check out the rides. The owner would be happy you do.

Has potential, but unfortunately the bartender is a complete ahole and slow as $hit. Had to wait 25 minutes for a deaft beer I've passed by it for the lady 8 yrs and never stopped. Needless to say, never again.

Located on the scenic (and winding) Hwy 74 (also known as Ortega Highway), this joint primarily caters to the motorcycle crowd. It fills up quickly near lunchtime on the weekends. They have dedicated motorcycle parking right up front, with car parking available in a lot off to the side. The food is so-so, but let's face it, you don't come to a place like this for great food...you come to talk with friends and people watch. And on a warm weekend day, that's what you'll find several others doing.

This is a great place to ride to. Food is definitely bar food, but its good. Plenty of parking for the Harley. the seats up front are the best watching all the other bikes and people.

I did not go to Hell's Kitchen. Hell's Kitchen came to me in the form of Kraft Services. Yesterday I was in Lake Elsinore shooting a pilot. The night before I got the address of where the shoot was going to be and for snicks and grins did the Google "Virtual Drive" to the place. During that virtual drive, I saw Hell's Kitchen. From the name I went "Poor cats. A biker establishment that probably has the sad misfortune of being around much longer with the original reference to Hell's Angels than the other reference to the Gordon Ramsey Television Show and being mistaken for it" I came to the reviews here. Driving there yesterday (with another Los Angeles Actor), we passed it by. It looked pretty damn cool. I said to him "We should just stop now and try it out" Of course we couldn't as we had to get to set. But the smell coming out of that place with the windows down were just too much. It makes that area of Lake Elsinore filled with win. Besides, we are getting Kraft Services for the production. We are actors. Free food of course, is good. We were shooting and lunch break was steadily approaching. As we were sitting where they were going to set up...we saw the PA's bring in boxes of food. And it was that smell. That smell I smelled coming into Lake Elsinore. "Holy SHIT...That is Hell's Kitchen Food!" I blurted out. "How do you know" asked one of the people who owned the home" "Virtual tour. We passed it up. That smell". They had their burgers and pulled pork and other assorted amounts of "This is amazing" I had the pulled pork with the fries. The pulled pork was in a sweet BBQ Memphis style sauce. In the middle of the mountains of California on a set, I thought I was in Memphis Tennessee eating that goddamn amazing pulled pork. I'm an urban girl. Always have been. Probably always will be. Hell's Kitchen in Lake Elsinore makes you seriously reconsider living in a wooded area with knats the size of your head. Sure. I'd spray down my house every fire season if I knew that this place was close by. Please come to Hollywood. We need you to offset the *other Hell's Kitchen*....Hell's Kitchen.

If you are looking for absolutely GREAT food in one of the coolest locations ever, then you have arrived! WARNING, this is a place where you can speak your mind, be your politically incorrect self and have a great 2-wheeled ride getting there. Bring your friends for even more fun... If you are easily offended, can't take a friendly joke, have issues with chrome and the sound of a V-Twin, or actually believe all that nonsense from the '70's big bad biker movies, you had better steer clear. And, the waitresses, one in particular, sweet brunette with a great attitude, are the hardest working servers I have ever seen! I always slip her a few extra bucks when I visit, she really earns it! Truly a ride destination and a memorable place that will draw you back again and again, as it has me, just a regular, friendly, hard working guy who happens to ride a Hog on weekends with many good friends.

The Mister and I don't ride, but we did want to take the Mustang out for a drive one Saturday afternoon, top down of course, and headed out for something unique. I had heard of Hell's Kitchen via some gossip chit-chat by the office water cooler and thought the drive would be well worth it. The drive up the Ortega can be dangerous, so be careful and keep an eye out for all the bikes on the curves. You will come up on the place rather quickly; we had to turn around and come back... The bikes DO park right in front; no cars allowed there. SO, don't embarrass yourself in front of a bunch of hard-asses by driving through, often way too close to their bikes. Parking for cars is to the north of the restaurant. Ample parking in a gravel lot. The short walk to the patio allows you to look at some really nice bikes. We chose to sit at the front patio seating area. Plenty of opportunity to people watch and check out the bikes as the come and go. Vendors were on hand to sell you appropriately offensive t-shirts and other biker apparel. If you offend easily, you may want to consider another locale for lunch...we loved it and had quite a few chuckles reading the tees. People from every walk of life are at Hell's Kitchen enjoying a beer or two and good conversation. I agree with the other posts...please do not consume too much brew and jump on your bike..the road is a blood hwy as it is... Wait staff was attentive..made some good suggestions for lunch. We had the philly, and although it wasn't the best we've ever had, it was good considering we were eating at a biker bar! The food was hot, the drinks were cold, the condiment coffin was amazing, the people were great.... we even enjoyed the dog that was going from patio table to patio table to offer up a little love in exchange for a french fry or two. This was a very enjoyable afternoon...we look forward to going back when we can take some out-of-towner friends for a good time.

All I can honestly say is LOL! Someone else yelped that it was trying WAY too hard to be a biker joint. And she was correct. Its like they took a bar scene out of Thelma and Louise and put it inside this place. There are all these fake flames all over everything. The employees walk around like they are bad asses, but its obvious they are acting. Coming here makes you feel like you are on candid camera, you are waiting for someone to pop out and tell you, you just been punked. Also a nice touch to the movie set, is the anti gov. marquee out front that has bitchy rants on it.

True they don't have Ritz Carlton trained staff, but I'm sure great staff isn't easy to get that are willing to drive up a mountain road every day..so be prepared to bus your own table, wait a while for your burger, flag a waitress down. But it's good food and good beers on draft. It's fun to check out all the bikes and the people there and sitting on the tree lined back patio feels like you're far away! We stop there at least 3 times a year in our BMW automobiles with our kid and never get a dirty look. People are friendly and the burger condiment bar is the best!

Great music, good food. Redneck biker bar atmosphere with a guy out front selling Harley Thongs and T shirts that are shockingly racist and anti-Obama. Nice shady place to eat out back. Coffin condiments for burgers is a nice touch. Great to have a decent place to eat near Cleveland Nat'l Forest dirt riding; street legal dual sports only. Food was quick.

I went there on Super Bowl Sunday and it wasn't that busy. I asked the waitress, Debbie, when she wasn't doing much, if if she would like to take our picture with my camera. She said that she was busy and it would be a minute. About 10 minutes later, she observes that I was having someone take our picture and she said, "I said that I would do that- I guess you just couldn't wait!". I just looked at her. She decided to only ask the one man at our table if he wanted a drink. We had two ladies at our table, and my girlfriend said that her friend would like a drink. The waitress asked, Is that all? as she glared over. My girlfriend said no, that I, her boyfriend, would like another beer. Then she really glared at her and said, Now, IS THAT ALL?. We should of just left then, but instead of asking if these were separate checks, the waitress brought me a bill later for 5 people. I asked her if we could have separate checks, and she said, "Do you want me to go all the way back inside and make out separate tickets?". I said yes, and the waitress asked me if that's what I wanted her to do. I said, Yes, again as to making out the separate tickets. She asked me a third time with the roll of the eyes and a smirk. I said, "Yes, Do you have a problem understanding me?". She went off and brought back the separate tickets. She added the beer that I had bought earlier at the bar to my part, besides the one at the table. I said that there was a mistake on my bill, and she immediately walked off while I was talking. She finally came back when it was way past our time to leave with our group. The waitress went to the side, out of earshot from my girlfriend and said that my girlfriend had ordered them, I know for a fact that my girlfriend had only had the one and I had paid for it already. The waitress didn't seem to grasp that I had paid for two beers already at the bar. In hindsight, I feel that Debbie didn't feel like she was getting all the attention that she may of felt she was entitled, being a waitress and all, so when we already joined as a group with other lady's, Debbie didn't feel that she had all of the attention she should of gotten.

I'm a biker and have been wanting to spread my wings so to speak and find other biker bars in the SoCal area. Heard about this one and had to check it out myself. Great scenic way to get taking Hwy 74 but the construction can leave you waiting 10-20 minutes on a hillside. It's a sit-down restaurant... a waitress takes your order and brings your food. The service was really bad. We got there and only a few tables were taken but all of them were dirty - empty beer mugs, cups, dishes on the table. We actually had to bus our own table in order to get a seat. The waitress was a bit rude. The nice part is that there are mist hoses strung up so you have a nice mist blowing on you while it's real hot out. The food totally sucks - but I just had the burger... it was more like a processed pressed unknown meat patty with lots of fillers. The condiment section was cool. All the condiments are in a coffin - you have to open it. It's a nice stretch of road if you have the patience for construction. If I do return, I'll definately try something else on the menu. The prices are a bit spendy... $8-9 for a burger and fries.

A nice stopover before driving over to Lake Elsinore or SJC, depending on which direction you're heading. Harleys & Leathers are everywhere! Great food in big portions! Good choices on draft drinks! This place used to be a rundown restaurant, it's gotten a Biker Bar makeover with coffin inside filled with condiments, TV's on all the walls and a pool table.

came here for lunch after a work-sponsored event.. i was told there was a condiment coffin - yes there is... i took a picture of it. service was so-so, they definitely don't go by the "customer is always right" motto. the food wasn't anything to write home about but hey when you off-road for the first time and you're hot and dusty from the morning ANYTHING'S good. good place to people-watch... good mix of the hardcore biker gang set to the weekender bikers... as one of my co-workers exclaimed when we walked in "pretty bitchin' "

This place is fun from the 2 wheel eye candy out front on the weekends to the coffin this place is a must see on any Sat or Sun. It is Usually packed with the Harley crowd all weekend parting it up. I agree the food is so so but the atmosphere really makes up for it. It is a fun hang out to have a beer a burger and just hang for a while. They have a pretty good breakfast also if you are up that early.
